Acourtia nana, Aloysia wrightii, Atriplex canescens, Brickellia laciniata, Condalia warnockii, Coryphantha macromeris, Cylindropuntia imbricata, C. leptocaulis, Dalea formosa, Echinocactus horizonthalonius, Echinocereus enneacanthus, E. pectinatus, Flourensia cernua, Fouquieria splendens, Gutierrezia sarothrae, Larrea tridentata, Muhlenbergia porteri, Opuntia macrocentra, O. polyacantha, Parthenium incanum, Prosopis glandulosa, Thymophylla acerosa, Tiquilia canescens, Yucca baccata, Y. elata, and Y. torreyi.
Common and often abundant; generally cespitose; individuals either pollen fertile or pollen sterile; often prolific on mine tailings; stamens yellow; n=22 during meiosis of microgametogenesis; flower collected 8 May 2004 from an individual cultivated at Chino Valley, Arizona.
