Habitat: Juniperus osteosperma woodland/ Hilaria mutica grassland
Associated Species: Baccharis pteronioides, Berberis fremontii, Bouteloua curtipendula, Chaetopappa ericoides, Cirsium neomexicanum, Cylindropuntia whipplei, Eriogonum wrightii, Gutierrezia sarothrae, Hoffmannseggia drepanocarpa, Krascheninnikovia lanata, Lomatium nevadense, Lotus wrightii, Lycium pallidum, Mimosa biuncifera, Muhlenbergia repens, Opuntia chlorotica, O. phaeacantha, Quercus turbinella, Rhus aromatica, Sphaeralcea parviflora, Stipa neomexicana, Yucca angustifolia, and Y. baccata.
Description: Infrequent cespitose shrub, two flowers collected from potted stems 23 April 2016; individual transplanted to outside garden, Chino Valley, Arizona, died by October 2016 and dead stems processed for specimen.
