Locality: Las Cienegas National Conservation Area (31.821770, -110.660990)
Abstract: Las Cienegas National Conservation Area (LCNCA), located in southeastern Arizona, is a locality of notable ecological and historical value. It serves as the habitat to rare native, threatened and endangered fauna and flora, and it is the site of the oldest operating cattle ranch in Arizona. The current flora recognizes 403 species in 76 families. Less than 6% of the flora is non-native, with perennial forbs and grasses being the most abundant groups. and over a third of species in the current checklist are associated with wetland habitats. LCNCA has been the target of several adaptive management and conservation strategies by local and federal agencies to preserve its biotic diversity. This flora aims to support the continued preservation of LCNCA's biodiversity and unique habitats including cottonwood willow forests, mesquite bosques, sacaton grasslands, and cienegas.
