Locality: United States, Colorado, Larimer, Laramie Mountains, Roosevelt National Forest, Roaring Creek trail vicinity N of county Rte.14 and Cache la Poudre R.
Elevation: 2652 meters Verbatim Elevation: 7700-8700ft.
Habitat: Forest variably dominated by Pinus ponderosa, P. contorta, Pseudotsuga menziesii, Picea engelmannii, Abies lasiocarpa, and Populus tremuloides. Meadows and willow-alder-birch thickets along creek.; Sepals purple, petals white. Locally common in meadows, open forest near stream.
