Frequent cespitose perennial with up to several stems; type locality of Mammillaria aggregata Engelmann (see Baker 15555); individual transplanted to outside garden, Chino Valley, Arizona; flower photographed and collected 6 May 2015, weight = 6.3g; another flower collected 7 May 2015, weight = 5.3g; died by May 2016 and dead stems collected.
